How did you initially get involved with motorcycles? I come from a family who has ridden since before my time. They taught me all I know, they put me on a dirt bike when I was 2yrs old and I'm still riding them today. I got into the street scene in my yearly 20’s riding a CR 600 for a short period of time, My mom then got a '92 Softail custom, I worked at a motorcycle shop for a few years, met my husband who also came from a motorcycle family, we decided to take our M1 class together, and that weekend found out I was pregnant with our first child, so I never got my license, he eventually got a bike and we did a lot of riding together and every time I always wanted to be in control. A couple of years ago I took my M1 Course again and finished top of my class with a perfect score, a good friend called us and said he was selling his bike and we scooped it up.

What do you currently ride and why? I Currently ride a 2012 FXDB
I absolutely love my bike since I've gotten My Black Beauty, I have been making her my own, Biltwell risers and bars, new step up seat, fairing and making a few modifications here and there. She's truly one of a kind, an oldie but a goodie.

What is your happiest memory that involves motorcycles? Wow, that's a hard one. I have so many great memories. My first girls meet up as a new rider. I ended up riding the entire route solo which was pretty wonderful in the end.
My First Campout with the Fast Babes and Every Campout after that.
My most recent memory of my trip to Durango, CO. with my hubby, my ride or die, we crossed 3 state lines and rode 1780 miles with a stop to the beautiful grand canyon. I am definitely looking forward to making more memories in the near future.

Outside of motorcycles, tell us a little about yourself? I’ve been married for 9 yrs. I have 2 beautiful girls, 2 and 4yrs old. I absolutely love being their mom, its truly the best job ever. My husband and I own and operate a construction company. Besides bikes I love snowboarding. That's how my husband and I met. I love the river, camping, concerts and hanging with friends and family.

How have you become a more confident rider? Things you’ve done to help you gain confidence?  When I first started riding I rode whenever I could with having 2 littles it was hard. I only could get out when hubby was home to watch them on weekends. I would block it out on my calendar and then just go for the day and ride as long as I could. When riding I'm constantly thinking about my surroundings, where to position myself with cars, the skills I learned in my M1 Course and applying them whether it be something as simple as going straight or taking a windy road.
More confidence I think comes from pushing myself every time I ride. I believe that riding with more experienced/ skilled riders makes you a better rider in the long run.

What is your dream trip/bucket list ride(s)? After seeing parts of the western states, I would love to plan and do a coast to coast road trip making all the amazing stops in between and definitely a road trip to Sturgis.

How do you think motorcycles have changed your life? It is a big part of my life now. After I had my second daughter, I had postpartum depression, the struggle was real and I lost a huge part of myself, it took a long time to get me back, but when they say that this is "Throttle Therapy" they weren't kidding, It has helped me heal, grow, and find a new part of me. Since I've been riding consistently and with this amazing community, I have found a new me that I'm loving and am a mom that my girls can look up to. They love that their mama rides a motorcycle. This Community is truly incredible. I have seen so many new places and met some many wonderful people that have impacted my life for the better, ones that I would not only call my friends but ones I could call family. It's truly been good for the Soul.

Do you have any upcoming motorcycle trips/rides planned? Yes. My next trip will be the Kernville Kampout and then Babes Ride Out Borrego and then one more out in Vegas in November. All I couldn't be more excited about. One a Co-ed Campout with my Hubby and friends and then 2 with my wind sisters, Yes Please to all 3!
